Vibe Guard MCP

Your AI usage, right inside the app you already chat in

Connect Vibe Guard to Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT desktop and just ask — “what’s my usage right now?” It answers with your live token count, spend, and how close you are to your limit. No dashboards, no switching windows.

See it work

A real example: you ask your AI app a question, and Vibe Guard answers with your live numbers.

What’s an “MCP”? (in plain English)

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. Think of it as a standard “plug” that lets an AI app safely connect to an outside tool — the same way a USB port lets any device plug into your computer.

Normally your AI assistant only knows what you type. An MCP gives it a safe doorway to look something up for you. The Vibe Guard MCP is one of those tools: when you plug it in, your assistant can check your real Vibe Guard usage and limits and tell you on the spot.

The simple version: An MCP is a tool you snap onto your AI app. Once Vibe Guard is snapped on, you can just say “how much have I used today?” and it knows — because it’s allowed to peek at your numbers (and nothing else).

It only reads — never writes

The Vibe Guard MCP can only look at the usage counts Vibe Guard already publishes for you. It never sees your prompts or code, and it can’t change anything.

It’s tied to your account

It reads the Vibe Guard account you’re signed into on this computer, so it only ever shows your usage — no one else’s.

Works in the apps you use

Claude desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT desktop, and other MCP-compatible apps. One install, then just ask.

Three things you can ask

“What’s my usage?” (tokens + spend), “What are my limits?” (5-hour + weekly countdowns), or “What’s my status?” for a quick all-in-one summary.

Install it — one click

For AI desktop apps like Claude or Cursor. No Python, no config files, no terminal — the installer does it all.

Download & open

Get the installer above and double-click it. It’s notarized by Apple, so it opens with no warnings.

Sign in once

Sign in with your Vibe Guard account on this computer (open the Vibe Guard app or run the meter). That links it — no codes to copy.

It connects itself

The installer adds Vibe Guard to Claude Desktop and Cursor automatically — nothing to paste or edit.

Restart & ask

Quit and reopen your AI app, then type: “What’s my Vibe Guard status?” That’s it.

Prefer manual setup? (optional)
{ "mcpServers": { "vibe-guard": { "command": "python", "args": ["/full/path/to/server.py"], "env": {} } } }
You don’t need this. The one-click installer above wires Vibe Guard into Claude Desktop and Cursor for you. This snippet is only if you’d rather set it up by hand.

What you’ll see

Once it’s connected, your assistant pulls your live numbers the moment you ask — tokens used, dollars spent, and how close you are to your 5-hour and weekly limits.

Ready to plug it in?

Download the MCP server and follow the steps above. It’s included with your Vibe Guard subscription.
